Not an isolated occurence within the adventure game community, but somewhat of a curiosity to me at least, is the amount of effort some will go to to recreate entire narrative games that they enjoyed, often expanding upon the existing content, correcting historical drift, and updating the audio and visual fidelity of the titles (and usually changing the interface/mechanics to be inline with later entries or newer methodologies).
Precedent was set for this by Sierra themselves (to mixed results, reception, and profits) when they attempted a catalog refresh, recreating the firsts of several of their series (King's Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry).
