The Pirates of Pestulon

To me, this is a comfortable delight. I have a soft spot for this SCI0 era of Sierra titles, where things are still limited to 16 colors in the palette, but the resolution has doubled (horizontally) and the audio has improved by leaps and bounds.

Having a great soundtrack accompaniment while you explore multiple vibrant locations, combined with the perceived freedom of piloting your own spacecraft while not being in immediate danger gave an unprecedented feeling of wonder.

Others have spoken of the design failings, introducing plot-holes and having a kind of arbitrary reasoning (that can be missed entirely) for your ultimate goal; to me this feels in line with the sense that the Two Guys were just making things up without deep introspection or worry.

As fluid as my rankings for the series are, the Pirates of Pestulon is almost always in the top position.
