This fascinates me. A Space Quest inspired point and click adventure game made and commercially released in Russia.
From what Anatoly Shashkin (the DOS Nostalgic) says in his video playthrough, this was an obscure title even in Russia. And not a very good one either.
I have been assured that playing the game isn't worth it, let alone translating it. And yet, I have various bits of disassembly notes and a DOSBox installation set up to support Cyrrilic characters.
It uses a custom engine that the developers made, so there are no immediately accessible tools for getting into it, and the last issue I ran into was that IDA Pro, while awesome, doesn't easily let me search for text strings formatted in Cyrillic.
If it were easier to get into the assets it would be tempting to disassemble it enough to port to ScummVM, which would open it up for more community hacking or translation.
A project for some later day.
This game is woefully difficult to search for deeper information on; the three credits listed at the top are those names listed under "Plot development" and "Texts and dialogues" (More accurately under разработка сюжета/тексты и Диалоги), and I opted to maintain the original spellings. Online translation suggested Viktor Kovalev, Alexander Kovalev, and Yuri Nesterenko, for those curious.
