So this is where you'd be making your character. For the moment the archetype we're sticking with is something like a captian america or a spiderman. So, some number of years ago. BOOM. Powers. [[About You]]

People have had powers for a while but a lot more have gotten them recently. And with that, a shakeup happened. Life isn't the same even as much as we try to pretend it's still normal. But with the recent expansion have come a new type //evilguys// who have spread through the country. One thing they do is create //enemytype//, which may or may not be under their conscious control. They've affected your life in a deeply personal way, as we're about to find out. [[Get Started]]

a physical enhancement type is tougher and stronger than a regular person. This is the sort of person who can throw cars and shake off bullets. Your powers tend to the fast side. Your movements are more accurate, you move more quickly and you pick up fighting tricks faster too. You'll have the power to tap into an occasional burst of speed. [[I want this one ||Attitude Selection]] [[I want to see the other types||But then you got powers]]

Back before your life got flipped out of control, you were a relatively normal person. Why don't you tell us about yourself so pretend there's stuff here for height build eyes hair bodyparts occupation hobbies [[But then you got powers]]

So picture there's some stats or bars here, and then some questions like: Even within the ranks of the //fancy term we use for your type of hero//, there's a variation in what each hero relies on. Which is yours? You have a battery of energy that you can emit. This makes you a ranged attacker with beams and stuff, also ties into unlocking more interesting powers like flight later on These powers have limited uses and you'll drain them over time until you have a chance to rest. This is the choice for the brainy folks. this might have some more options in the rest of the game, but also can be used for making gear if that subsystem ever gets online. here's some overdone moody text about what it's like being a normal person going about their normal day. possibly we add some hooks in for the chosen profession or maybe we just force you to be going to college. Maybe we introduce some other characters all sneaky like. Either way, you're doing your thing when... boom projected enemy attack. they're not real, but that doesn't stop them from being destructive. so they're something like the aliens in into the breach or the monsters in a tower webtoon. They're a thing that we can just smash without feeeling any kind of guilty oh and there should probably be a date at the top if this is going to be a game with days and you decide what to do when. which is probably like 2 sequels out, lol. But yeah, you're minding your own business when screams and a wall shatters. and in that moment [[you decide you have to do something]]

and now it does reaaaaallly seem like, you know it feels like we should have a lot of choices here and they affect your stats and maybe later we have the option to pick stats manually as an advanced thing, and the categories above are not choices but instead just letting you know. anyway monsters here. threateing you and the class. picture that stuff happens here. maybe you get to choose between attacking it, trying to summon a power or helping people get to safety, and each of those helps. then if we ever get a combat system built, here's where the combat would go. possibly with a voice giving you advice. But for now... A chunk of wall has been blown out, and your classmates run screaming. The thing is made of shadow. It has like six legs and two big stabbing arms. It has one of your classmates stuck in the corner and seems to be toying with them, waiting for your classmate to panic. So what do you do? describe the tall man draped in shadows here, his mangled hand, wiry figure and grizzled chin sticking out of his dark outfit. he says something kinda nice but kind of rude and suggests that if you want to help anyone today, you need to do it with him. and since the theme of the game is about giving a fuck, you're just going to go along with it.

So that's great. You have powers, had them for a few years now. But what did you //actually do// with your life after you got them. You've even solved a few big enough cases that some crimefighters know who you are. Maybe you're not a big deal, but you are a deal. You kept your work in secret. Anything you did do, you kept as quiet as possible. You weren't in it for recognition or prestige. Look, other people might have the time and dedication to live a double life, but not you. You buckled down, got a job, did some socializing and generally tried to live as a responsible adult. Was it glamorous? No, working part time at a coffee shop isn't glamourous. But it did keep you from getting stabbed, and there's a lot to that. Also, it gave you time to have a life, and friends. So yeah, there'd be a description here. We'd see how well you do based off the power and origin that you picked. You'd also gain a stat depending on how you reacted. But none of that now. So you stop it. You're a sweaty mess and your jacket is torn. [[And that's when you hear a voice.]]

It's in your ear, gravelly, like someone is standing right behind you... But you checked. No one. "Good job. Now normally I'd tell you to get out. But a lot of people need your help. Luster will be here in a few minutes. Do what I tell you to until she gets here." "Oh, and step into the hall. I've sent help." You step out into the hall, either agreeing or grumbling depending on the previous choice. You see another one of those things in the hall, just as it gets beaten down by a girl who you've seen around campus, and if I'm smart we've teased before. She's wearing what's obviously street clothes with a shirt over top of it and a mask. Yep! It's the best friend character. "Hey." She says. "I'm here to help. I'm blank, nice to meet you. Let's clean out the halls. out the back so everyone can escape." no her name isn't blank I just haven't decided who she is yet. The two of you make an effective team. You do the thing you do. She does the thing she does. You work together. It's great. Then you get to the ground floor, and there's a big thing in the quad. It's humanoid in shape, but made of shadows. Two purple eyes stare from the center of its chest. The air ripples and distorts around it. "Fuck." She says. "That will tear everyone trying to evacuate apart. Let's try to distract it long enough to escape." Then there'd be a "last 3 rounds!" challenge here. Then, abruptly. CRUNCH. Sexy Blonde Hottie Glowing Superwoman just squishes it like a bug. Luster has arrived. She really makes you feel how your character is level 1. But she smiles at you, her face literally glowing with happiness. "It was brave of you to confront that placeholdername. You saved a lot of lives today." She pauses, listening to something no one else can hear. "I would love to stay and congratulate you, but duty calls." And then she takes off into the air, a glowing streak, and then nothing. and... this is as far as I've gotten.
